Chain tensioners are occasionally needed in certain applications to gather a few links of the chain to pull in the rear derailleur pulley cage.

Simply hook onto the lower side of the chain between the pulley cage and chain set to gather the desired number of chain links. Chain rollers are located on inside of hooks. Avoid twisting the chain whilst installing.
